the fisheye was a surprise gift just before springtime appeared in 2006. it became a great way to look forward to the colorful season ahead. the camera itself is just made of plastic, but the results are quite fun. it adds an exciting twist to your standard party-pics.

this is a wonderful pocket-size digital camera. it takes great snapshots of everyday life. it is perfect for documenting everything that shea does.

we thought it was broken, but it was just waiting to be used. this treasure is a classic, fully-manual slr that uses 35mm film. this camera is great to learn on since it is so rugged and heavy.

the lca is a simple piece of machinery that turns out some beautifully saturated photos. it is too easy to become addicted to this camera. i have found that i can not leave home without it. for more information, see the lomographic society.

after a bit of research, we picked out this fun new toy. it is a sony handycam dcr-hc20 minidv. basically, it has all the features that we need. combined with Adobe Premiere, we can create anything from home movies to artsy documentaries.

a supporter of barbatobox photo habits, Sam sent us this funky plastic machine. It fuses images together in the same 35mm frame. The package says, "Imagine your dog's head on your bosses body."

dating back to just before the digital camera boom of the late 90's, this machine is a bit bulky. however, it takes some of the best digital photos i have seen.

my greatest ground-score of all time -- the 1st generation canon elph is a wonderful travel companion. the advantix film system does not produce the best quality of photos, but those panormics are a plus. this camera has tough metal casing too.

another fun russian camera. this one sports a clamshell-style flip down lens cover. as cool as that feature looked, it also caused the unfortunate death of the kiev. something broke and the lens got jammed. so it goes...

a plastic toy that could melt if left in extreme heat too long. the 120 format provides some extra-large negatives for quality reproduction. one can get some seriously funky effects with the plastic lens.

a 4-lens camera that takes photos in an action sequence. in high sunlight, this camera gives great results. this particular model is very techno with it's shiny chrome front.

a classic slr with full manual or automatic settings. you can never go wrong with such quality lenses and precise exposures. the slr style of camera is highly recommended if you want to learn about f-stop, aperature, depth of field and everything else a photographer *should* know.

a $5 thrift store purchase transformed into a pinhole camera. the purpose of this camera was to give me the rawness of camera obscura that could be processed as a normal roll of 35mm film.

when you are caught without a single camera, or you don't want to worry about anything getting lost or stolen, go disposable. nothing special, but it is worth it to carry this in your pocket.
